For me, Artificial Intelligence is not a mere executor, but the physical hand I had to rebuild. Following my accident, code became an extension of my nervous system, allowing my intention to once again manifest as mark, matter, and medium.
1. The Direction of the Gesture
I use Midjourney as a sophisticated system of aesthetic translation. I choose it for its ability to interpret the grammar of materials and the density of the mark. I do not seek synthetic perfection, but rather a visual coherence where the machine respects the logic of matter. My work consists of governing the tool so that the output is not a statistical calculation, but a precise manifestation of my design will.
2. Memory and Identity as Infrastructure
My research focuses on memory and identity. In an era of technological acceleration, I use AI to explore the persistence of the self and the layering of remembrance. Artificial Intelligence is not just an archive of images, but a reagent that allows me to surface visions that question the boundary between who we are and what we project into machines.
3. Hybridization and Physical Presence
My practice does not end in the digital space. I believe in an art that inhabits both worlds:
Synthetic Phase: The processing and refinement of visual thought through prompt crafting and digital post-production (Photoshop) to bend the algorithm to my aesthetic.
Material Phase: The return to the object. Through custom prints and direct intervention with various materials, I transform the generated image into a unique body. This physical manipulation is the final act necessary to reclaim the work as a human act.
4. Provenance and Cognitive Responsibility
Every work is accompanied by the documentation of its generative process. In a market saturated by automation, I guarantee the intellectual traceability of my work: from the genesis of the idea to the choice of tools, up to the final manual intervention. My art exists because there is a human intention that has decided to inhabit technology at this specific historical moment.
